Disqualifying offences for introduction licences
You can’t get or keep a licence if, in the last 5 years, you have committed a disqualifying offence.
These include serious crimes, such as:
- murder or manslaughter
- rape, assault, sexual assault or indecent assault
- stealing, false pretences, fraud, forgery, theft, armed robbery or receiving stolen property
- any related offence.
They also include drug offences, such as:
- possessing a dangerous drug
- producing or supplying dangerous drugs
- possessing items used with a dangerous drug
- any related offence.
Disqualifying offences also include prostitution offences, such as:
- public soliciting for the purpose of prostitution
- prostitution or soliciting
- any related offence.
They also include gaming and vagrancy offences, such as:
- public nuisance
- vagrancy
- unlawful gaming
- any related offence.
We will also disqualify you for an equivalent offence outside of Queensland.
Licence applications
We will reject your application.
Already licensed
We will cancel your licence.
If this happens, you:
- cannot appeal the cancellation
- will be penalised if you work unlicensed
- may not apply for a licence for 5 years from the date of your conviction.
